I bought this shotgun shell sling and used it with Uncle Mike’s Quick Detachable Sling Swivels on my Remington 870. Easy to install, but the shells took some work getting in. I filled mine up immediately and then went shooting. Be forewarned, with the sling full; it does add some weight to your shotgun. Someone else here suggested installing it ‘backward’ (with the shells starting near the stock), and I agree. I set mine up that way, and it does help keep your balance. As soon as I get the 56 shell bandoliers, I will be able to carry 141 shells fully loaded and ready for zombies!

I bought this shotgun shell sling for my Mossberg 590A1. It fit just right, and it was nice to have the extra shells handy for quick access. The problem is it makes the already heavy gun even heavier. It still works for me since the weapon is used for a survival/bugout scenario, and the extra ammo is good to have. I would not recommend it for someone who targets shoots a lot of plans on carrying on duty and have to hold the gun up aimed at someone or something for extended periods. Your arms will get tired even quicker.

The Blackhawk shotgun shell sling Excellent quality. Nice, tight elastic shell loops will not let the shells slip out. Only time will tell about the flexible wear, but I would expect several years. I second what the previous reviewer said about the need for sling swivels. I already had some, and his review prepared me for this need. The basic sling mounts on your gun will not be big enough as the sling clips require at least 3/8″ holes. The clips on the sling are sewn in and not removable. Still, I like the sling and would get another if needed.

This Shotgun sling is of high quality, much better than most out there, and will, without modification, please anyone who is not short. I am 5 foot 7”, and if I wear this sling around my neck cross carry, at its shortest adjustable length, it is fine me. The quality is so good that I’m just going to have it shortened at a shoe repair shop. If you happen to be between 6 feet and 8 feet tall or fat, no modification is necessary for any carry position. For me and anyone of short stature, I rate it four stars. For anyone of average height and taller, I rate it five stars or better … hence, the 5-star rating.
